Support Worker
Are you a practising Christian with an active faith
who wants to express their faith in caring for others?
We support people with learning disabilities who have chosen to live and work in a community with a Christian ethos. We believe that a person’s spiritual well-being is as important as their physical and emotional well-being. Our orthodox Christian values are based on the Bible and shape everything we do, including the way we care for our residents and staff.
Are you able to provide holistic support for adults with learning disabilities, including providing intimate personal care where needed? Could you assist people to plan and attain personal goals in a way that encourages increased independence, develops their skills, promotes their choices, and helps them realise their full potential?
We are looking for people who can support residents in their day to day lives and help them grow spiritually. You will have a personal Christian faith which you are committed to living out daily and an ability to share it in a kind and gentle way with those who ask. This might include praying with someone, reading the bible together, explaining how this applies to their daily life and encouraging them to grow in their own walk with God.
There are a variety of shifts, including early start, late finish and weekends, which will be on a rota basis so a flexible approach is important. In return our terms and conditions are generous and we offer a wide range of benefits.

Hours
Full time - 35 hours per week over a three-week rota (including evening and weekend hours)
Salary
£10.90 per hour with £12.60 per hour for weekends and bank holidays
